Wilf the Teddy visits the Museum
Meet Wilf.
Wilf came to the Museum today accompanied by his owner. His owner wanted to take a photograph of Wilf in the Museum to show people where he had been on his holidays.
I chatted to his owner, a lovely lady from Brighton, who explained to me how she had become Wilf's owner. She told me he was a hundred years old and she had come across him on facebook. Not bad for a centenarian to be on facebook! He lives in a little backpack that she carries with her and she takes him everywhere. Other visitors were fascinated by his story and it was nice to meet Wilf this afternoon.
What was even more amazing was that I had been trying to sort some stuff out for a Border Regiment veteran who is 100 later this week. Yes, you guessed it...his name is Wilf! I had literally come downstairs to cover the reception desk after dealing with plans required for a reception for one Wilf, to chatting to a visitor who was the owner of another Wilf. Both 100 years old.
What a coincidence!
