Busy doing Nothing...

Today I thought I would attempt to go outside into the garden and tackle the seeds that I planted a couple of weeks ago. Now, I know I am no Monty Don or Percy Thrower but once there is quite a lot of greenery in a pot then it's time to move it on. Even I know that. Today, was going to be a garden day.

Spurred on by the beautiful sunshine, I had every intention to get out first thing. But inevitably, I kept finding other jobs. You know, those things that you think you'll do tomorrow, such as clean the bathroom, hoover the hall. I even went through a box of ephemera and found photographs and travel documents from over 20 years ago. A coffee and a quick reminisce and time marched on. I now find it is past 3.30pm and I am still inside having not tackled the job I had set myself today.

To be fair, I have actually got outside these four walls for a morning cycle ride at 7am, then a quick amble round the garden with the camera to take some photos. I don't think I needed to take them, but I wanted to and that was enough for me. I was joined by one of my chickens who showed some curiosity in what I was up to. She even managed to pose for the camera, so I dutifully obliged. In retrospect, I should have just repotted my seeds then when I was outside but I thought with it being a beautiful day I would be drawn to the garden later. And I am, it's just outside my window but I find myself still at my laptop when I had promised myself a day's break from the wee beastie.

Or maybe that is tomorrow. Yes, maybe that is the job tomorrow to stay away from the laptop and get out in the garden. If it rains folks, you know who to blame.
