Protecting our External Exhibition
Yesterday, with the extreme windy weather, we had to lay down our external display frames which are being used for our current 'Forgotten Army' outdoor exhibition. Visitor safety is paramount and as such, we always conduct a risk assessment to ensure that health and safety is adhered too.
We put the boards up as normal in the morning when the weather was wet but seemingly not very windy. The situation soon changed and the predicted wind started to increase. It wasn't long before we realised that the boards wouldn't withstand the blustery conditions and made the decision to lay them down. Not ideal, but safety first.
In between the showers, visitors still braved the elements to view the panels laying down. Glad that the 'Forgotten Army' was still causing some interest, even on the floor!
